You know Dad’s home when you hear the metal garage door creaking open. Moorabbin car auction houses, hardware stores and retro american diners. Industrial complexes fuelled by Chicko-Rolls™ and Farmer’s Union™. Dad’s garage is a trove of plumbing spare parts, tools and suburban detritus. He used to rescue anything i’d throw into the garbage, including old trance and chill-out CDs from my teenage DJ years. He’d pull up in the driveway a week later and you’d hear Ian Van Dahl® or the Chillout Sessions 2™ muffled behind the windows of his Toyota.
